START LOVING JESUS FIRST

Last Wednesday night in service
A brother stood and spoke
About the words of John—inspired by God
Of things worthy to note

In the book of Revelations
Our Father up above
Said,” I have somewhat against thee
Because thou hast left thy first love”

As a brother has explained
Revelation two and fourth verse
God has somewhat against us
Because we stopped loving Jesus first

And reading in the Bible
You will find many a verse
Reminding us our God is a jealous God
And wants us to put him first

He’s the alpha and omega
The beginning and the end
Thou shalt have no other God before him
That means you and me, my friend

And if you would search the commandments
The first and greatest you would find
“Thou shalt love the Lord thou God
With all thy heart, thy soul and thy mind”

The second; love thy neighbor as thyself
Which is like unto the first
On these two commandments hang the law
Matthew 22 , 40TH verse

Jesus Christ is the living water
For all of those who thirst
Give him the praise and glory
Start loving Jesus first
