The Weapons of Our Warfare

Submitted By: Charlie Warren

Someone is saying bad things about you or your church, and folks might be leaving or contemplating leaving.

So, what's up? What's the solution? It's more obvious seeing our places of worship under attack that this is rouge of the devil, trying to cause a church split, to get everybody mad and red-faced with anger and frustration. Why? Could be that we are experiencing a lot of revelation from Yahweh. But, more so than we have moved up to the next level, it means that we have to walk in love more. And while a promotion always is a welcomed blessing, at first we aren't aware that this means a new beginning. Let me explain.

To get to where you were at, you, (and your church) had to pass some tests. Our church, (including us personally) were at the top of their game ,and got to go to the head of the class. But, now that we have graduated this class, it's time to move on to the next level. If you don't pass the tests then you have go through the cycle again and again, so I know that you have moved up to the next level to even be taking this test.

At this next level, we are at the lowest rung on the ladder, and we want to keep the confidence that we had in completing the last phase, while at the same time realizing that we are in a new cycle of tests. These tests really just reveal a condition of our heart that we did not know existed. It's fine for an 8-year old not to know how to drive.

In fact, it's fine for a 9,10, 11 or 12 year old not to know how to drive. It's even fine for a 13 & 14 year old to not know how to drive. And because it's been fine not to know how to drive for so long and so many years, well aware of the fact that the ability to drive is a requirement for getting a driver's license, it's taken for granted that this is not an area that we have to grow in. It's even fine for someone to be 26 and not know how to drive, as long as they don't drive in most of the United States, (this might interfere with their ability to grow, get a job, unless they live near a sub-way).

However, if one wants to move on up and date, then that person is going to want to drive; and to do so requires studying, and then paying attention to the mirrors, and to circumstances, and obeying traffic lights, and watching for others. Now, the smart parent will have those that are eager to want to drive to start observing these other factors that are very much a part of driving as soon as they are willing to watch, and get the young folks involved in observing and challenging them with questions pertaining to driving, ("What should I do when I come to a stop sign". "Look Left, Right and then back to the Left and then listening to the Holy Ghost before pulling out" If you get a feeling not to move, check that with the Holy Ghost. It matters the most).

Now, similarly, Yahweh, your Father which art in heaven has been guiding our church body preparing us for this next level. While we were the master of the last level, we are the newbie's on this level. But, that's okay. It's like the first day of school in another grade, we're not expected to know all that we need to know right away, and if we did then we would go up a level an hour and we'd be in college at age four... There's something about walking it out... growing up at the age we are now that seems normal.

What's the solution? You sow love. Why love? Well, the enemy's weapons are only carnal, so to fight in a way that he can have any resemblance of a victory, he must get us to get carnal with him. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty to Yahweh for the pulling down of strongholds 10-Four?, (2 Corinthians 10:4). ...mighty before Yahweh for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds" cited from the Amplified Bible.

The fruit of the Spirit is Love, (Number 1, listed 1st... then Joy... don't discount Joy nor all the rest, patience, gentleness, (Galatians 6:1), longsuffering, kindness, overlooking a fault of others, etc).

What's so big of a deal about Walking in Love, (Dying to Self. Selfishness ~ Self-Centeredness is the opposite of Love). The Fruit of the Spirit is Love ... {skip to the end} ~ Against such there is No Law, (Galatians 5:23). The devil is a legal scoundrel studying the word over and over, and looking for legal loopholes, and faith comes from hearing and hearing the word of Yahweh. So the devil believes the word and has faith. Too bad for him, we are saved by Grace not faith, and so he can't get his faith to work... so the wimp resorts back to carnality. Strife is his area. Backbiting, murmuring, accusations, etc.

Love never fails. Against such there is no law... (no legal loophole... The devil has no counter weapon). Don't forget Joy... the enemy launches an attack, and we toss back fruit. What a weird way to battle, doesn't that sound fruity. However the weapons of our warfare are not carnal.

Take stock, take inventory of what we and what our church body is doing. Are we allowing hatred, bitterness, (bitterness can ruin a whole church and nullify Grace... like one rotten apple spoiling the whole bunch ... Hebrews 12:15, Galatians 2:21), envy or any other things to come in that were acceptable when we were younger, but now are critical components in this warfare that would give the devil a place...

Read over Galatians 5:18-Galatians 6:4... Examine ourselves first before we engage back in this war, by throwing fruit. Let's be fruit inspectors of our own lives. Is there Pride in our lives? How to do we react when we are attacked? Do we take it personally, (Remember that self-focus... is the opposite of Love. Do we slander others back?).

I've heard it said, that "Self-Centeredness is the Landing Pad for Demonic Oppression"

It could be that this test is revealing a condition of our heart that would mean destruction on a much greater scope, if allowed to remain. Thank Yahweh for allowing this condition to be revealed now before we engage at a much higher level, (so that we can judge ourselves). Don't feel condemned for our not walking in love to the level that we might want. Let us remind ourselves that we were at the top of our game in the last endeavor and that through Yahweh we shall do valiantly for it is he that treads down our enemies, (Psalm 108:13, and Psalm 60:12)~!
