A general prayer from memory such as Jabez's prayer in I Chronicles 4:8f is a good example of a Biblical prayer from the Old Testament. Jabez (which sounds like the word for pain in the Hebrew) appears to be a descendent from Judah, the tribe of David. Jabez prayed (cried), as an honorable man: for God to grant the blessing of an enlarged territory and for God's hand to be with him in keeping him from harm and pain. The Bible indicates the granting of his request (v.10).

Come to Him today. Call those things which are not as though they are, in the name of Jesus. His name is a matchless name , the sweetest name, the name above every other name, the name at the pronouncement of which demons tremble; the name that is a strong tower into which the righteous and are saved. See He stretches to you the sceptre of deliverance. Take it and enter into your freedom. Take it and enter into your Promised LAND.

When the results came back, many men wanted to be discipled, but very few men volunteered to be mentors. Many people are reluctant to take on the job of mentoring or discipling. Why is that?

In the same manner, God has chosen to reveal Himself to us through His names recorded in Scripture.

The Enemy is launching a Warfare at us and we're throwing fruit back... Love is shown to be a weapon of our warfare... against such there is no law.

We can perform many acts of service with the thought of serving our Lord; however, there is only one thing that is necessary. One thing that has eternal value – an intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Your God is able to do the same with you in time of your troubles. In every difficult circumstance there is promotion from God for those who did not denied their God.

The call to discipleship is on Christ’s terms, not ours.

Walk with Goodness, Mercy and Grace;
Listen to what they say attentively;

It is bad enough when leaders in the World treat you unfairly but when fellow Christians do it - ouch! Lucifer and Adam rebelled against God's authority in perfect and near perfect environments. The question of the ages - will you rebel against God? God is teaching us not to rebel against unjust leadership on the Earth, remember all leadership positions are from God, so that we will not rebel against His just Leadership in the future. This is the path of promotion in the Kingdom of God!

Weeping may endure for the night but your joy is coming because your Goliath is coming down in Jesus Name .Go with what you have. Look to Jesus who had gone ahead of you to make ever crooked path straight. He will part your red sea for you to walk on dry ground.

Let us make the most of it and give Him glory honour and praise for this marvellous access to the New and Living Way.

Folklore has it that angels were created greater than man; therefore, we are to be afraid of them.

What is discipleship and what is Jesus calling us to in Matthew 28:18-20? Is this a command, or a suggestion; does it mean we are just to evangelize and let people find their faith on their own, or does this mean we are to lead others and teach the precepts of the Scriptures and the character of our Lord? Does it require obedience and action on our part, or are we disciples just by being a Christian and being in a church on Sundays?

As we celebrate Easter, let’s keep ourselves pure, look to Jesus the Author and Finisher of your faith. Let’s revisit the cross and renew our commitment to Him and point others to Him. Let’s ponder on the full meaning of the resurrection, die daily and live daily for Him, in Him and with Him.

Sin separates; our sins were heaped on Christ and separated Him for a moment from His Father.

May we live in that consciousness and lay aside every weight or sin that so easily besets and creates a gulf between us and God.

This is a reflection of the writers life at the pulpit as it goes full circle. He recalls the numerous important events of his life before the pulpit, beginning when he accepted the Lord.

The writer acknowledges when his life is over and he goes to meet God, his funeral will be preached from this same pulpit.

No matter how far gone you think you are, forgiveness is available at the cross. Just come as you are. Confess your sins, and accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. The Old will go and the New will come.
